What is the GPSR?
The European Union's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), officially known as Regulation (EU) 2023/988, came into effect on December 13, 2024, replacing the previous General Product Safety Directive.
This regulation aims to modernize and strengthen product safety across the EU, addressing challenges posed by digitalization and the growth of online sales.

It seems as if the new regulation is a challenge for overseas manufacturers who want to sell into Europe, but actually, everything that's required is probably what you do already.
What I do.
As your EU GPSR Representative, I'm your point of contact for GPSR enquiries. I live in France, and have a long career in government and interpreting government documents. Also, as a life-long gamer I have a good understanding of the miniature wargaming industry.

I work with you to create the documentation you need to hold, and keep the documents up to date as the regulations mature.

I check your safety warning information to make sure that it promotes compliance with the GPSR, and hold a copy of it, in case somebody from an EU regulator makes an enquiry.
If something goes wrong, I will work with you to recall any affected products.
Generally, I provide advice on interpreting the regulations and achieving compliance.
I charge a small annual fee.
What I don't do.
I am not a full service Representative. I don't do materials testing or classification and I don't compile material data sheets.

By the same token, I don't charge you anywhere near as much as the large firms do. I'm able to do this by operating in conservative industries where the materials and products are well known and the risks are well understood.
